James Watkins is the only guy running for Congress who has helped shrink spending at the federal level AND helped create thousands of jobs in the private sector.  He knows how DC works, and to motivate the private sector.  We need more guys like that in Congress!

James' career highlights include

• talking Ashley into getting married during spring break (26 happily married years later, it looks like it might work out!); 
• winning the Wolcott Fellowship at George Washington University; 
• earning an MBA in International Business with a finance emphasis; 
• helping shrink a federal agency in Washington DC from its peak spending during a financial crisis;
• Making the decision to leave D.C. and move back to the Northwest;
• winning Microsoft's Partner of the Year Award; 
• helping hundreds of small businesses grow and prosper; and
• earning the trust and votes of over 120,000 of our friends and neighbors in the 2010 Congressional election.

James is married, has two children and lives in Redmond.  He's an avid cyclist (you may have seen him on the Burke Gillman or Centennial trails. . .), certified scuba and cave diver, certified gun safety instructor, and very active in the community.
